Engagement Session: BENJIE+TONI+RABBIT

We wanted a pre-nup shoot prior to our wedding for the following reasons:
  • (1) Get to know our photographer. This will help ease the awkwardness since this is the first time we are going to work with him.
  • (2) Practice posing for the camera. We are pretentious wanna-be-models who do not know how to pose hehe.. So practice is really the key. =)
As promised, below are the details of the Pre-nup Pictorial or Engagement Session (E-sesh)

Concept: Since I only got the basic package from Rabbit, it was my responsibility to think of the concepts, bring/buy the clothes and props for the e-session day. I decided to make it simple - lesser props, more of us. I only sent some picture and adjective as pegs. Then, Mike helped me detail out the things I needed to buy/prepare for that day. It was such a pleasure working with Mike. I wish I could meet him in person.

Styling: Due to a prior commitment, Mike did not make it to our shoot. However, I was lucky to have met another member of Rabbit, Aram. He helped me with the clothes and shoes I needed to wear for each concept. I still couldn't forget the suitcase he brought that day. My gosh, I was literally in love with what was inside - full of gorgeous accessories!!! I think I already said multiple times how I am amazed with all the items he asked me to wore. Luckily, I forgot to bring my own accessories, for they had a wide array to choose from.

Location: Pinto Art Gallery - Antipolo, Rizal
The first choice was actually UP Campus. However, they only cater during weekends and I couldn't move the shoot to a weekend. Hence, we decided to go for Pinto. I didn't opt to go outside the Metro due to time restrictions. Surely, for Benjie, Toni, and Rabbit they have been here countless of times with other couples. This is indeed a very popular place to do for pictorials!

Make Up: I just love how Toni emphasized my facial features, especially, on what she did to my chinky eyes. I couldn't ask for more. We tried different shades and looks. Airbrush was awesome. At least now, we know which style to do for the Big Day! :)

Photoshoot: I really felt awkward and lost at first. Nervous and challenged even. Thanks to Benjie's direction, I must say it became a memorable experience. We got to do poses that we wouldn't normally do. I recall how he always reminded me to straighten my back! I felt so relaxed that day (which I am usually not feel since I am always on the go and uptight).

RESULT: see sample photo below.
